Playing Hard Hands

If you want to play Blackjack using a good strategy then you need to know what to do when faced with a Hard Hand. A Hard Hand is any hand that doesn't contain an Ace

We shall now take a look at how you should play all Hard Hands to give you the best Blackjack strategy and of course reduce the house edge to give you maximum value on every hand you play.

If you are dealt an Eight or less then you should always Hit that hand.

If you get dealt a Nine then you should Double Down if the Dealer is holding a 3, 4, 5 or 6. If the Dealer is holding anything else then you should Hit.

If you get dealt a Ten and the Dealer is holding a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or a 10 then you should Double Down, if the Dealer has dealt himself any other card then you should Hit your hand.

If you have been dealt Eleven you should Double Down if the Dealer has a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or a 10, or should the Dealer be holding an Ace you should Hit your hand.

If you have been dealt a Twelve you should hit if the dealer has got a 2 or a 3 and Stand if the Dealer has a 4, 5 or 6, or Hit your hand if the Dealer has any other card.

If you have been dealt either 13, 14, 15 or 16 you should always Stand if the dealer has a 2, 3, 4, 5 or a 6, and Hit if the Dealer has any other card. If you have 17, 18, 19, 20 or 21 then you should always Stand your hand.

If you only take notice of one of our blackjack tips then let it be this one, and that is knowing when to stop playing.

Time and time again players will continue to play when they should have cashed in their chips and left the table, reasons for this are they could be simply riding a lucky streak, but as night follows day these can quickly turn around completely into losing streaks.

Another reason a player will continue to play blackjack is to chase losses in the belief that a bad run will surely end soon. Never ever chase losses for it is the sure-fire way to the soup kitchen!

Set yourself a win and loss limit and you are protecting yourself against any eventuality, that is one of the best blackjack tips we can give anybody!
