Simple Blackjack Strategy
Sitting at any Blackjack table you will see all kinds of mistakes being made by fellow players, almost all mistakes made by novice players ultimately effect the profitability
of their gaming session.
It is with this in mind that you should learn to play each hand you are dealt to your best advantage and this is where learning a basic strategy comes in.
By following a strict set of preset rules you can reduce the house edge to less than one percent and you will be hard pressed to find any other casino game either online or offline that
offers such a low edge, so it really does pay to play correctly.
So to help you we shall now take a look at some a simple Blackjack strategy that will reduce your house edge dramatically.
To begin with lets take a look at dealt hands and Dealers up cards and point you in the right direction of how you should play any particular hand.
If you have been dealt two cards that add up in total to either 12, 13, 14, 15 or 16 then this is often referred to as a Stiff hand, and all that means is that it can be busted
should you decide to Hit that hand.
It is not just the Player who can get a Stiff hand as the Dealer when holding a 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 is now holding such a hand.
If a Player is holding 17 or higher then this is called a Pat hand and you should Stand when dealt such a hand, conversely when the Dealer shows an Ace and a 7 then he is holding a Pat hand.
A simple Blackjack strategy to follow is to always Stand if both yourself and the Dealer has a stiff hand, and always Hit if you are holding a Stiff hand and the Dealer is holding a Pat hand.
You should try and get yourself a blackjack strategy card or chart for whatever game you are playing, these are perfectly legal in all casinos, in fact you can often buy them
in a casinos gift shop.
At times you could hold up a game by using such a card so try and make the decision on what you are going to do before the Dealer gets to your hand, if however you are playing online
you can take all the time in the world as you are not up against fellow players who may become restless at your gameplay.
